Vintage baseball cards outperform stock index?

Brent Huigens, CEO of the popular PWCC Marketplace that auctions off many investment-grade trading sports cards, showed how the top 500 most valuable trading cards outperformed the S&P 500 index in a recent Forbes article.

The graph interestingly also shows that even during market downturns, the value of the vintage cards were still appreciating assets.

Read the full article here, but one card noted in the article is the classic 1954 Topps rookie card of the great Hank Aaron.
