New teammates Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani will be fun to watch, collect

It looks like there's already mutual respect between Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.

It looks like there’s already mutual respect between Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.

And for Angels fans and collectors alike, it’ll be cool to root for these two guys on the same team.

While Mike Trout rookie cards have increased in value, Ohtani’s cards are highly valued now because of the hype.

Only time will tell to see if the Japanese sensation can live up to the hype and see his card’s value increase even further like Trout who is still young yet performing at a consistently high level.

Collectors will have to wait a little longer for this season’s set to come out featuring Ohtani’s autograph rookie cards.

But you can see the ones that are out on the market in this post from his days playing in Japan.

As for Trout, our favorite rookie cards of his are outlined here. But here are a couple of bonus non-rookie cards we also like below.

1. 2016 TOPPS ALLEN & GINTER MIKE TROUT AUTO (BGS 9.5/10) – $300
