Not everyone can hit like the great New York Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio.
But Charlie Blackmon of the Colorado Rockies did something for a center fielder that hasn’t been done since 1937 when the aforementioned DiMaggio accomplished the feat.
As the tweet above noted, Blackmon finished with 135+ runs, 100+ RBIs and a .300+ batting average.
For some reason though, he hasn’t gotten the level of respect in the hobby world for a player who has consistently in past seasons put up stellar numbers.
Perhaps if he played for a more historic team of if the Rockies can somehow manage to get a Wild Card berth, his rookie card value might increase to the level it deserves.
