Tracy McGrady is the latest member of the basketball Hall of Fame after being inducted last week.
McGrady was once one of the best players in the game, having twice led the NBA in scoring and earning all-star honors 7 times. Here are some of the coolest McGrady’s cards worth owning.
1997-1998 Metal Universe Precious Gems Green Parallel /10.
An insert set during McGrady’s rookie year, the Green Parallel version is the most valued McGrady card on the market. If you have a lot of cash to spare you could invest $39,999 in an ungraded version, or a more affordable $7,689 in a BGS 8.5 version.
1997-1998 Skybox Premium Century Marks Auto /100
For autograph hunters McGrady’s Skybox Premium Century Mark is one of the cards to own. One of the few McGrady autos from his rookie year. Factor in a short print run of only 100 and what you get is a very popular rookie. At a price of $2,349 for a BGS 9 with 10 auto, it is actually an undervalued card considering how rare it is.
2008-09 Vince Carter Tracy McGrady UD Exquisite Dual Jersey AUTO
This card would be much cooler if it was made when the cousins were still on the same team, but it’s still a very nice card to own. With dual autographs from both superstars and a low print run of only 5, what’s not to love about this card. For T-MAC and VC fans an ungraded version will cost about $600 to add to your collection.
05-06 Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming SP Gamed Dual Patch Auto Jersey /50
Another neat collectible is this dual auto, dual relic card with TMAC’s biggest (literal) teammate, Yao Ming. With a low print run of 50, and a really beautiful card design its another nice piece to add to any collection. A BGS 9 version is currently available for $799.
1997-1998 Topps Chrome RC
As a player who debuted in the 90’s McGrady RCs can be easily tracked down. Of all the base RC options, the nicest card is his Topps Chrome one. A BGS 9.5 version can be purchased for $69.99.
1999-2000 SP Authentic Sign of the Times
The SP Authentic Sign of the Times is a nice autograph set from Upper Deck and while this card is not from T-MACs rookie year, it still comes from early in his career and is a nice autograph affordable enough for anyone to add to their collection. An ungraded version can be had for only $19.99.
