A journeyman’s journey: Edwin Jackson’s pro career and his 12 team cards

Will Leitch wrote a great piece about Edwin Jackson who is one team away from tying the MLB record of playing with 13 different teams.

Jackson was just released from the Baltimore Orioles, his 12th team, and is one team shy of tying Octavio Dotel’s record.

Obviously, having played for so many teams (and being released by just as many) doesn’t bode well for his card’s value.

But it made me wonder how fun it could be to collect a journeyman’s card from each team he’s played for, especially if he’s one of your favorite players.

Anyone have a story like that? That would be an interesting one to share.
